Thanks for all your help and tips on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! I’ve arranged to see the owner of this one and borrow the car for an hour and bring it to a mechanic. He’ll put it up on a lift and check the condition.

No options except the panoramic roof. Weaker 8 valve 1.2 engine. Windy windows. Steelies. But it’s clean and runs great supposedly. 680 euros or 790 USD.

You just might be looking at a picture of my first car!

This one looks extremely good (better than the other ones, at least to me). A relatively early one, like this one, would be my go to, as they are the simplest, and have the quirky non-airba g steeringwheel. And since all pre 2000 ones are 8 valve, I would even accept that engine. Twingotamer has an 8 valve Twingo II and we were relatively equally matched in pace during the Oppomeet, so I don’t even think it’s that much of a penalty over the 16 valve . (The difference might be bigger in the Twingo 1 as it is a bit lighter)

Sorry that I missed your previous post by the way, I could maybe have clarified how the Twingo I did not have 1 facelift, but like 5 small ones, with one bigger one.

It only has one option, but the only one that matters :o)

Too bad it has a plain interior tho :p

Same motor as my car. Not a powerhouse but they’re very solid. Should make a great first car.

Hope the test drive and inspection go well. Keep your eyes out for other options until the decision is final.

No worries, thanks for the input.

I was researching them and as far as I understand, the 1 major facelift was the 2008 one, where it got the extra engine option, different taillights, the headlight became one unit and the interior is updated to match the rest of the renault lineup of the era. It kinda looses it’s charm but I guess you have to keep up with trends. + it gets an airbag which is nice.

Yeah I know but that’s fixable. Maybe I’ll even try to make a custom one.

One thing I’ve always loved is the “mexican blanket” on the back seat. People in the states usually have them in classic cars or trucks, the rainbow colored one. I got one when I was in CA last year and I cherish it.

Not sure if that look would go well with the small European Twingo, I’ll have to do some tests ;)
